Minutes of the Previous Meeting

The minutes of the meeting held on 13 January 2026 were RESOLVED as a true record and signed.

Matters Arising

Cabinet works for full-fibre broadband on the Green had been completed, with the first properties able to place orders from late February. Letters regarding mobile signal on Netherfield Road had been sent; an acknowledgement had been received from the network operator, with a substantive response awaited.

Planning

Application 26/00087/FUL – proposed ground-mounted solar array, Long Acre Farm. A resident objection had been received regarding visual impact from footpath FP12. After discussion, it was RESOLVED to raise no objection in principle, given the benefits of renewable energy generation, but to request that any approval include conditions requiring landscaping/screening and retention of the existing hedgerow along the footpath boundary.

Playground

Cllr Hollis confirmed delivery of the roundabout was expected the week commencing 9 February, with installation to proceed as planned the week commencing 23 February.

The Clerk presented a budget monitoring report for the third quarter of 2025/26, confirming income and expenditure remained in line with the approved budget.

Neighbourhood Plan

The Clerk reported that a small group of residents had approached the Council about the possibility of preparing a Neighbourhood Plan for the parish, and introductory guidance from Locality had been circulated to members. It was agreed the matter be considered further at the March meeting once the Clerk had gathered more detail on the process and likely costs.

It was agreed a date be fixed for the Annual Parish Meeting and the Council's Annual Meeting in May.
