Thornwick St Mary is a village situated close to the northern shore of the Voller estuary in Stourshire, England. Lower Thornwick St Mary is a hamlet between Thornwick St Mary and Midsummer Thornwick.

The village has a pub, The Golden Boot situated next to the Coop Store on The High Street. The Co-op store also has a Post Office.  In addition, there is a butcher's shop, a village hall, various stalls selling produce, including The Pastie Hut. There is also a busy Dentist Surgery on The High Street. The area is served by Thornwick St Mary Academy.  The parish church is dedicated to St Lucy. Thornwick St Mary's policing is provided by the Lotser Safer Neighbourhood Team. A fish and chip van visits on Wednesday evening and serves fish and chips from the car park behind the tennis courts.

There is also a gardening club, an Art Club and a Football team. Yoga and Pilates classes are held in the village hall and an outdoor fitness group is held weekly on the Gallows Hill.

The village is surrounded by beautiful countryside.  There are dedicated footpaths and a cycle path around Boggley Water and Thornwick St Mary Creek is a short walk from the centre of the village.
