Public Participation
A resident thanked the Council for the new playground roundabout, noting it had already proved popular with local children.
Minutes of the Previous Meeting
The minutes of the meeting held on 10 February 2026 were RESOLVED as a true record and signed.
Matters Arising
The new roundabout had been installed by Sutcliffe Play during the week commencing 23 February, and had passed a post-installation RoSPA safety check with no issues identified. The Council recorded its thanks to Cllr Hollis for overseeing the project. Works to rebuild the churchyard boundary wall had commenced on 3 March and were expected to take approximately two weeks.
Highways – Vehicle Activated Sign, Six-Month Review
The Clerk presented data from the vehicle activated sign's first six months of operation, showing the 85th percentile speed on the monitored approach had settled at around 28mph, a further improvement on the figure reported in October. It was RESOLVED that the sign remain in place, with data to be reviewed annually going forward.
Planning
No decision had yet been received on the Long Acre Farm solar array application; noted as still pending.
Neighbourhood Plan
The Clerk presented further information on the process and likely costs of preparing a Neighbourhood Plan. It was RESOLVED to hold a public drop-in meeting to gauge the level of resident interest, provisionally in June, and to invite residents to come forward to form a steering group.
